I am currently working on my second novel ‘Twenty Twenty Seven. It is expected to be available mid 2020.
I have ceased work on the musical about a modern day art gallery who purchase the work of an unknown artist as a final attempt to save their London gallery from going bankrupt. A rumour spreads that crying sounds can be heard coming from the room at night where the portrait is on display and the portrait cries tears at certain times of the year. As the truth is discovered it turns out to be the work of a young Russian artist who in 1918 was commissioned to paint the future bride of the Imperial Emperor.
The young artist falls in love with his subject and the pair plan to run away together to escape the Russian revolution and the forthcoming war. The love between the couple is so powerful that this embeds into the young artist’s masterpiece as he paints and the power of his love lives on beyond their years.
There are no current plans to continue working on and complete this project, although it may become a future novel.
I have completed working on recording project with local singer ‘Maisie Waller. This project includes a selection of my original songs and was produced by David Salter and recorded at his A2D studios in Margate. www.a2dmusic.com
